SELF-MEASURING GUIDE – How to Take Your Own Measurements

To ensure your Laura Galic garment fits you perfectly, please follow these steps carefully.
Use a soft measuring tape and take your measurements in light clothing, standing straight in front of a mirror.


👗 Dresses

  • Bust: measure over the bra you intend to wear, at the fullest part of your bust.

  • Waist: measure at the narrowest part of your torso, just above the hip bones.

  • Hips: measure around the fullest part of your hips.

  • Over-bust circumference: recommended for fuller busts.

  • Shoulder-to-bust distance: from the middle of the shoulder to the bust point.

  • Back waist length: from the prominent bone at the base of the neck to the waistline.

  • Skirt length: from the waist to the desired length (include heel height if applicable).


🧥 Jackets / Suits

  • Bust: measure over your bra, at the fullest part.

  • Waist: measure at the narrowest point of your waist.

  • Hips: at the fullest part of your hips.

  • Back waist length: from nape to waistline.

  • Biceps: circumference at the upper arm.

  • Sleeve length: from shoulder tip down the arm to the wrist (about 2 cm past wrist bone).

  • Shoulder-to-bust distance: for fuller busts, from shoulder center to bust point.


👖 Trousers

  • Thigh: measure around the widest part of the thigh, near the hip.

  • Calf: measure the fullest part of the calf.

  • Length: along the inner leg, from the top of the thigh to the desired hem.


👠 Skirts

  • Waist: measure at the narrowest point, just above the hips.

  • Hips: around the fullest part of your hips.

  • Length: from waist to desired hemline (include heel height if applicable).
